Branscan originated over 20 years ago in image analysis of physical properties for the flour milling industry.  Its consistent quality control technology is now employed on a global basis within the Flour, Semolina, Milk Powder, Plastics and Chemical industries.  Branscan has recently developed a system that combines this proven image analysis of physical properties with NIR (Near Infra Red) technology that looks at chemical composition to give the customer a flexible online monitoring system suitable for the, Chemical, Plastic and Oil industries in addition to the Food industry.

Branscan systems use high speed cameras and a special lighting setup which, when combined with innovative in-house software, allows the detection of impurities in real time.

All the systems are non-destructive and objective. The new InNIRScan system combines impurity detection and NIR, catching a sample for verification and calibration ensuring consistent product control. 

 Branscan offers an online system for the identification of aleurone and bran in flour products.  To date, Branscan have installed over 100 systems worldwide and operate 22 distributors over all five continents.
